I have had the most incredible food weekend! 🙂 To be honest, most of my free weekends are all about food, wandering around London to find the best food and coffee but any excuse to go the extra mile and I’ll take it.. and with Easter and a 4 day weekend it was the perfect excuse to spend even more time eating! Of all the places I ate at this weekend, Stokey Bears has to be the highlight. Continue reading Stokey Bears
I decided to write a blog post to answer all of the questions I get asked ALL the time on Instagram. I only actually discovered direct messaging on Instagram relatively recently, and I was actually horrified to see the number of private messages I’d received – all of them seemingly asking the same questions. ‘Won’t you get fat eating so much food?’ ‘Won’t all that sugar make you fat?’ ‘Do you have high cholesterol and blood pressure?’ ‘Is all that food you eat in that bowl just a style of intermittent fasting?’ I mean come on, they are all absolutely RIDICULOUS, I don’t even know where to start without going off on a huge rant. Continue reading Won’t all that sugar make you fat?
I love this place. It’s perfectly located at Seven Dials – close to Piccadilly, Covent Garden and Oxford street and the atmosphere is always so lively. I’ve been here twice for brunch now, with quite a long break between visits so that I could compare it to other places. Although the menu isn’t the most extensive my boyfriend and I agreed the things they serve are definitely of the highest quality. Generally I’ve found that the best places don’t serve many dishes but they do them all exceptionally well and this is certainly the case with Kopapa.
When we first moved to London, we made it our mission to try all of the best burgers!
Lucky Chip happened to be the first burger which we tried – at Netil market on a late Saturday morning. The patties were perfectly cooked – juicy with a hint of pink in the centre topped generously with cheese and the bacon was crispy and the brioche bun was so soft it almost melted into the burger. The fries were perfectly crisp too, especially considering the whole lot had been cooked in a van! Continue reading Lucky Chip
I recently came back from a trip to Mauritius. I’m half Mauritian (my dad was born there) and I’m lucky enough to be able to go over there to visit a lot as I represent the national badminton team. Although I don’t have the time or the funding to compete much, I love training and I think that playing sport is a great way to stay active as a change from the gym. I’m working full time and the hours can be long and unpredictable, but luckily the coach over there is understanding of the fact that I can’t train often and I just do my best to fit in training sessions when I can. I managed to get a week’s leave from work to compete against other African nations in the Uber Cup qualification, to gain a place in the world finals in China in May this year.
I absolutely love this place.. it’s undoubtedly my favourite pizza place in London! I’ve been more times than I can count and every single time I just can’t believe how good it is! It’s got to the point where I’m almost reluctant to try any other pizza places as I don’t feel like anywhere can compare – I don’t think a pizza can be any better!
