Chocolate chia cookies

I am an absolute cookie monster! Okay.. I love all things sweet but cakes and cookies are definitely my biggest weakness. As I write this I’m on a plane and I’m greedily eyeing up the air hostesses handing out white chocolate cookies – I’m in the middle so I get to be served twice, once from each side.. that’s how it works right!? 🙂 In my opinion, nothing is better than a warm, fresh cookie, slightly underdone in the middle, chewy and stuffed full of chocolate chunks!  Continue reading Chocolate chia cookies

Beigel Bake

Do you like bagels? What a stupid question, everyone likes bagels. Be prepared to meet THE bagel. The only bagel you need in your life. Seriously, I can guarantee it will be the best bagel you eat in London. Or the UK. (I would say the world but given the States is the bagel capital of the world that’d be a pretty bold assumption..). It’s soft, chewy, has that perfect bagel-y glaze on top, and it’s stuffed to the brim with tender chunks of juicy salt beef (or anything else you’d like .. but at least try the salt beef too!). Following on from my random rant the other day about not liking inconsiderate people, I also hate disrespectful people. I feel like I get it from waitresses and shop assistants a lot. I go to Selfridges a lot to get gelato and wander round the food hall to look at all their amazing food and eat their free samples. But sometimes I wander into the designer section and some of the shop assistants just look at me like ‘what are you doing here?’ Has anyone ever had the experience of walking into an expensive shop and felt like they’ve been looked down on!? I’ll admit I probably don’t help myself by the fact that I look 12 (yay!) and that I always dress for comfort when I go into London (and all the time.. I live in leggings and baggy tops when I don’t have to be at work!) but that’s beside the point – I just think it’s an unnecessary judgement to make. Continue reading BAO

Cutter & Squidge

I really dislike inconsiderate people. I’m not claiming to be a saint, far far from it, but I’d say that I really do consider other people’s feelings and I try to do nice things for others when I can. Living in a flat has its advantages and I love our little flat but noisy and inconsiderate neighbours can be a bit rubbish sometimes 😦 I completely understand that some noise is unavoidable and I’m more than prepared to put up with a reasonable amount but honestly the people living in the flat upstairs sound like they hold a 24 hour exercise class where they invite half of London and are permanently doing a combination of squat jumps and fast feet. It’s like a constant thumping/running sound, combined with the fact that they seem to do their washing about five times a day (so our whole flat vibrates 😀 ). Continue reading Cutter & Squidge

Dubai 2015

Nope it’s not a typo – I’m writing a blog post about a holiday I took over a year ago! I love to travel but my blog is so new that I haven’t been abroad since starting to write it and since I’m going back to Dubai in a month’s time, I thought I’d write a post about my favourite places which I visited last time and those which I plan to go back to 🙂 Continue reading Dubai 2015
