It feels like everyone the food-loving world is talking about the newly unveiled ruby cocoa bean (and if you haven’t heard of it, where have you been hiding!?). But if there’s one place to try it, it surely has to be at the chocolate heaven that is Artisan du Chocolat. Famed for their beautiful chocolates, innovative flavours and stunning packaging, rather than going crazy with marketing and advertising, they let the quality of their products do the talking. Last Friday I was lucky enough to go down and try their two newest launches – chocolate ice cream and their ruby chocolate bars. I was welcomed by Camila, the store manager – an absolutely lovely Brazilian woman who was almost as excited as me about the launch!
Who doesn’t love burgers!? Tender, juicy meat sandwiched in a soft bun served with mountains of crispy fries – what’s not to love!? And whether you’re all about the patty itself or more concerned about the additions and sides London most definitely has you covered!
At the end of February, just when the weather turned horribly cold and the UK was hit by snow, I was lucky enough to be able to travel to Funchal, the capital city of Portugal’s Madeira.
At the end of Summer last year (yes I know.. this is so late that it’s pretty much Summer 2018 now, but better late than never!) we headed up North and decided to plan a day trip somewhere to discover some food places outside of London! We’d been tempted to go to the seaside – I have some seriously fond memories of stuffing my face with hot, fresh sugared donuts in Blackpool or Magpie fish and chips (which I understand is currently closed due to a fire! 😦 ) in Whitby, but we eventually decided to go somewhere new (and somewhere that had plenty of indoorsy things to do should the great British weather decide to fail us (it predictably did!).
